HOTLNC at EOL??

Well, I tried all of the chemical "fixes." I'm failing Nox by almost 10 times standard reading at 25 MPH. Everything else is fine. It is throwing no codes, other than spastic O2 Sensors. Are there any suggestions aside from putting it down? Odo shows 295,041 miles.

More info:

I used another code reader and this time got 181 (Fuel system at rich adaptive limit at partial throttle), 188 (Fuel system at lean adaptive limit at partial throttle).

I've cleaned my MAS and will replace the heated O2 sensors.

Any other suggestions?

I'm not very knowledgeable on emissions, but I am wondering if perhaps the catalytic converters have reached their lifespan?

I'm no expert on this either but back in the day my wife's old T-Bird SC had no cats and would pass before Jersey started dynoing cars; once on a dyno the NOX were very high. I'm thinking your cats might not be efficient in their old age? I'm sure there are ways to lower NOX either way, I hope you find a solution to keep HOTLNC going.

I'd check for vacuum leaks also. High levels can be caused by lean mixtures.

Of course a bad EGR system can cause this too, but I think you already went through that.

Maybe a seafoam treatment to clean out some carbon?

I did the Seafoam treatment. A few months ago I found a plastic vacuum line broken. I repaired the break with a 1/8 inch ID rubber hose. I guess I need to check to see if there area any more breaks. With the age on this car, the plastic hoses in the engine compartment is very brittle.

That RUBBER hose MAY be being sucked closed too.... that's why it was hard plastic to start with..... just a thought.
