How to disable/disconnect shift interlock in Gen 2?

Saving Lincolns in Europe
Hello!

My Mark VIII will have to pass inspection soon and I'll have to mod my tail lights again to have separate amber turn signals in the rear and brake lights that don't blink along with turn signals (I'm usually going back to US specs after inspection ;)). It's pretty easy to separate turn signals from brake lights by disconnecting BOO switch signal to SCIL module. But it's also disabling shifter interlock solenoid (it gets signal from SCIL).

I got a set of good LED switchback bulbs so I'll be able to have amber turn signals in the same housing as backup lights. Maybe I'll simply leave Euro "legal" tail lights for good. So the only problem is to bypass the shift interlock solenoid, is there a plug I can simply disconnect at the shifter to disable it?

Thanks!

There is a connector at the shift interlock solenoid. I have never had to find it myself but the manual says it's located " front of center console, on brake shifter interlock". Shifting to neutral before turning the key on will bypass the interlock but inspectors might not like that. Good luck.
