when looking at hub centers I was confuse as American Muscle has hub centric adapters with 70. 5 mm hub centric and others at 74 millimeters both claim to be from 05 -2009 Mustang wheels which have the proper offsets for the Lincoln at 35mm 18x9 and 45 for 18 by 10 my question being the center hub line for the Lincolns are what? are people just drilling out the 4.5 bolt pattern and slapping the rims on?after searching hubs for the 98 mark I found them to be 63 millimetersadding A 20 millimeter adapter 2 4.5 inches for the rears and buying a set of Mustang hubs for the frontyou're looking at 70 for the pair of either one 4 total of 140dollars so if you buy from super cool or custom wheel shop that's a direct bolt onthe price 4 the Mustang rims are significantly cheaper even adding on the spacers in free shipping from American Muscle you can get the speed stars a set of 4for $450 or bullet for500 includes shipping vs $640 and up for mark specific plus shipping

punctuation, use it.

my question being the center hub line for the Lincolns are what?
63.4 mm

are people just drilling out the 4.5 bolt pattern and slapping the rims on?
in the rear, yes. some use hub rings. 63.4 to 70.3. pretty cheap on ebay.

A 20 millimeter adapter 2 4.5 inches for the rears
20 mm adapter and 45 offset wheel equals a 25 offset wheel. and thats gonna rub, especially in 18x10.

what's still confusing is one has the 70 mm bore and says hubcentric and the other 74mm hub centric both for the same yearsas for punctuation its my text to speech option if I don't say. It won't put one.period
according 2 my tire calculator I've posted before I ran the 255 60 16 tires the did not rub with factory suspension on height over any bump and those were 28 inch tires I'mgoing with 27 inch tires and according 2 the string across defender level and tape measure it will just come to the fender lip I will roll fender anyway but it will fit with the 42 mmit might hold out a few millimeters regardless with the 18 99 all around or the 18 by 10 the offset puts them in the same spot the only reason I wanted the 10 inch is if I went with the bullet style for the deep dish look I still may gowith black Saleen either way the 285 tire will fit with no problems I almost went with a 295 45 18 both sides twenty eight and a half inches with the 410 gearsI had a tire shop test fit the 295 with an 18 by 10 45 offset and with the fender roll would not be a problemI forget who it is I think low bird is running 315 3519 s I might go with the same in 18 instead but the price difference for the 295 40 18 is 189 and the 285 40 is 220. the 315 35 18 is 289 a bit expensive to have to replaceand I still have to finish this motor before anything.I should be out of the hospital finally next week I've basically been in the hospital since November was out 3 weeks in April and back in again 4 more IV antibiotics and three surgeries finally healing.

those are spacers, not adapters. and you would use the 70 mm bore ones, if you used them at all. which you shouldn't.

the ones on American Muscle are spacers iPhone while referencing adapters from a different site that changes the lug pattern American Muscle doesn't offer a pattern Change, however my friend use them on his 5.0 four lug tp the switch 5lug and was putting out 475 horse to the wheels with not a problem. not saying I'm going to use them I'll probably drill out hub and rotors in the back and use Mustang hubs up front .if you drill rear hub while on the car isthere room get the lugs through? you pull them through with an open nut and socket

Yes there is room... barely in one spot.

There is a special "tool" to use to install the studs, basically a spacer with a bearing so the lug nut spins easily without spinning against whatever else you may use for a spacer (i.e., washers, larger nut, etc...).

I have the H+R Track + 35mm spacers on my 95 LTC with 09 GT500 18 x 9.5's and love them. Wheels completely fit, inside rim sits about 5/8" from upper ball joint and well inside fender lip. Rears have amble room of coarse. With steering wheel locked at max turn, inside tire sits about 1/2" from the lower control arm. Tires 255 45 18. I could easily go with 18 x 10's in the front but it would be best to have all addition 1/2" on the outside. I understand there is prolly a lil less room to play with on the Mark VIII's but nothing a little fender persuasion can't handle.

A 35 mm spacer ?what offset did the rim come in? if the rim normally has 35mm backspacing and you add a 35 millimeter spacer you're out past the fender well!your friend probably has to have at least a 45 millimeter off cent and that's usually used for a 10 inch to reach within rear fender well.18 x 9 with 35 millimeter backspacing are what are cars use and stayed inside fender on the 18 by 10 usually a 45 millimeter backspacing which what I was going to use with a 25 millimeter or 20 mm adapter and that just came to the outside edge of the fender being rolled completely
