I have a 98 LSC with 133k on it and my ac heat and ac controls are dead

recently I ran the car through a car wash and after that the fan stoped working and I had no air at all the next day I pulled the control unit and found a burned place on the board.I got a new one from a 96 continental and nothing no lights power nothing. I have juice at the unit all fuses are good.Does anyone have the right controls for my mark? will any other ones work? my research says no but this is the place of lincolns and as you all know the 8 is its owen critter.I live in Tennessee and its hot.

Put the original one back in and look behind your glovebox, there should be some wires hanging down. Wiggle them around a little bit and see if the fan kicks on

Yes, if it's just the fan that doesn't work, check the connections and wires at the fan.

Also on Mark VIII's, the EATC controls are not the same as some other models, Continental, Taurus, etc. They don't work right in the Lincoln.

Also it will vary by year in the Mark VIII as well, most likely you will need one from a 98 or 97 if it indeed needs to be replaced.
