Yes, tonight I brought home my black/tan 95 LSC!! It's BLACK!!! I've aaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyysssssss loved black on these cars. This thing is AMAZING!!! I haven't gotten the universal remote thing to program yet, but I will keep on it. I cleaned it up a bit for tomorrow's debut at work, but I can't wait to really get to detailing it. It's in beautiful shape, especially considering mileage, age and price. I can't believe I finally have one!!!!

Pics to come, I promise!!

RE: I HAVE A MARK VIII!!!!!! I AM VICTORIOUS! TRIUMPH

Thanks everybody. I just came in from outside...again...LOL!!!

Sandy, worry not, the four eyes are still my heart and soul. This car will actually help me to enjoy all the other cars we have for what they are. Although, I really can't believe that one of those cars I'd seen around for such a long time and always thought were very sharp automobiles is actually sitting in my driveway. And it's MINE!

We've got to put up another building before I get an M81. But, Mike did say that once I got a Mark, I could buy other cars...ooo... ;) I think with you in my corner, I'm sure to have an M81 someday. Least I sure hope so.

Leo, yes, I'll be joining. It'll be a while till my application is received as I became frustrated with PayPal and told them to go pound sand earlier this year. I'll be doin' it the old school snail mail way. :D

RE: I HAVE A MARK VIII!!!!!! I AM VICTORIOUS! TRIUMPH

I hope to get some pics up sometime this week. Kinda want it to be really clean for them first. Must...detail...car... Obsessive compulsive disorder at least keeps your car neat and clean! Right? Yeah...

Today at the emissions station, my overflow bottle sprung a nice high pressure leak. Oops. Already have one on order, and will be taking care of it immediately. DMV told me something silly, so I had to go back and get the old title that the Credit Union had and I'll take it in tomorrow and hopefully get that silliness resolved. That and the check air ride issue after hitting highway speeds are the only things that have surfaced. I'll be on the phone with the recommended air ride guy/place this week as well. I want to get to know the car a little better so that I might be able to more effectively assist in getting an accurate diagnosis.

I simply do not want to get out of the car when I have reached my destination. I really, really, really, really, really enjoy this car. Really. Seriously. A lot. :)

When I bought my 94, followed by our 95, I thought I was the only one who would wander outside, just to look at my car. Now, my company has relocated, and in our new office, I have a second floor window about 4 feet away from me, and I can see my 94 right now as I speak. They truely are amazing cars.

Congratulations on your find, and now you know.... it was worth every second of waiting. PICS..PICS..PICS!!!!

BTW, I went back and read your earlier post about having trouble finding one, and finding financing.... here is what my reply was to that post:

Ok, we bought 2 in one month. They are both financed, and yes, impossible to find nice ones. I would call WFS Financial(800)289-8004. They are nation-wide, and finance older cars(93+). Plus the fact that out here in California, the Mark VIII's hold their value alot more. We paid about $8800.00 for each of ours. The 94 had 51k, and the 95 had 55k. I bought my 94 in July, doing a 48mo. deal and a week later, my GF decided she wanted one. We scoured the area for weeks for a relatively low mileage Mark for less than $10k. Most of them fit the description you gave of the ones you saw. One day, after an 8 hour search ended, we found a Champagne 95 that was 4 miles from our house. She wasnt crazy about the color, but after comparing its mint condition, and low miles to the other examples of the same price range, she bought it. Here is a pic of both cars to show you what you can get for $8800.00, and finance through WFS. >

Who did you find financing through, so other readers can learn some options when they go to buy one of these cars?

RE: I HAVE A MARK VIII!!!!!! I AM VICTORIOUS! TRIUMPH

Yeah, I was in and out of the house that first night quite a bit. I finally stopped around 10pm.

I'm looking forward to spending many hours in this car. My commute is SO much more pleasant. I love my GT, but it's a demanding car and it's purpose is more and more track oriented with each passing year. You have to work with the GT, the LSC works with and for me. It is by far the superior commuter. I've had it less than 48 hours and I've put well over 200 miles on it. Sort of disappointing to get to my destination... :)

I'll have some pics tonight. But, please, remember, these are pre-detail obsessed pics!

As for the financing: I discovered that I could join a local credit union through my employer. They are very, very liberal and reasonable with their loans. As long as it has a blue book value, they'll write up a loan for it. If it is over 100xxx, they'll only loan 50% of wholesale. It has nothing to do with year, only mileage. Worked for me as I only wanted a small loan for this car. The rest I had in cash. No biggie. It was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend checking out credit unions for used car loans.
