use the other memory position

the remotes will usually automatically put the seats and mirros at either the 1 or 2 position. that way you get one key, the spouse gets the other, and everybody's happy by the time they open the door

If you have a 1st gen ('93-'96) look on the back of the remote. It should say "Transmitter 1" or "Transmitter 2." It corresponds to the memory position that it will set the seat and mirrors to when you use that remote.

My '97 also has that switch....

1st gen doesn't have a switch; it's imprinted on the shell. I have two remotes, one says "Transmitter 1" and the other one says "Transmitter 2." A switch would definitely be more convenient though.
