I've known this has been going on for a long time, there's even viruses that will implant stuff on your computer to suite your "needs" (Bud....ring a bell?), but now that everything is doing "filtering", the concept that we're missing out on different things about the world are really interesting. Maybe we should all do a test.....

That video was pretty fascinating. I knew they filtered stuff based on previous clicks, which is supposed to give us more "relevant" results and "personalize" our experience, but it didn't occur to me that by giving us what they think we WANT to see, they're filtering out things we might actually NEED to see.

NO, not a virus.... had a program running I didn't know came with the new computer.... once I deleted it everything was ok.

Because we never search for "mark8".

At least I don't, I have this site as a favorite.

Mark8.org was recognized while I was typing in Google, but the results were Mark from the Bible and a computer.
