Interesting Lincoln LS fixes

Okay, so I took my daughter who is 19 to get her first car today. It is a beater 1995 Chrysler Cirrus. Put it this way it cost $800 and it was a car lot that was selling it!!!! It runs good and will get her around till she can get a hair cut and get a real job! :D Sorry, old song quote! LOL! It will put her a big step in getting out of our house and getting an apartment too! Hopefully SOON!!!!!

Anywho, on to the Lincoln. So, the car lot is one of those that has the chop shop in the back and they buy the cheapest cars from the auction and then "fix" them and over charge in their lot. I call them 20 foot cars. They look great from 20 foot away. 19 feet and NO!
So, they has this "nice from 20 feet" 2000 Lincoln LS there. I thought "hey, if the price is right" that is till I got 19 feet away! LOL!
No but really, I was shocked at the "repair" job on this thing. The drivers side mirror had been busted off at sometime. They put it back on with a whole gob of liquid nails. No kidding! You could even see how they used something to smooth it out around the edges and feather it into the body of the car to try to make it look smooth and like one. It didn't work!!! The tail lights had scotch tape on them around the edges. Thing is they took the time to use something to make an edge grove in the tape to try to blend it in as if it was not there. Umm, didn't work! The wheels have been painted to look as if they were chrome. It was like that silver/chrome spray paint. Got to say, from a distance, the paint job was not bad really. But, when you get closer you can see what is really going on. After see those I just walked away! I thought the fella was going to come out and talk to me about it. I am so glad he didn't cuz i probably would have blown the deal my daughter was working out with him for her car. Don't think I could have kept my mouth shut about that pour Lincoln. Thing is, most of the problems looked like easy fixes. The interior looked great. Not sure about under the hood or how it ran. I lost interest at Liquid Nails!!!!

Yeah, we got the Cirrus before their guys got to it to stat "Fixing" it. So it is rough better then then it would have been.
Oh, the funniest thing that happened that I forgot to say from yesterday was that the oner who is from India was talking on the phone most of the time. The manager who is from Mexico was bossing the two Mexican "mechanics" around by coming out the th front porch and yelling at them. Then after he did that. One of the guys just sat down by the corner of the building and started to smoke. Then (now mind you my kids are here and so are the managers kids) the bigger guy that went back to start working again comes flying around the corner with a broom and starts swinging it at the little fell trying to have a smoke! The Manager comes out and reams them a new one. I don't know what he was calling them but the people 4 blocks down the street were laughing! Wast a show for buying a first car!!!! To funny!!
