Changed all the fake wood pieces along with some other trim pieces to carbon fiber. Real carbon fiber, not that tape stuff.

Seriously Driller, pictures will NOT do this car justice!

I've debated painting trim pieces and the like but decided with the blue interior, a blue carbon-fiber would look prime.

Heh. Funny I find this thread as I was thinking of painting the interior pieces the match my exterior as well.

Of course, it's all black (int and ext). But the stock so called 'black' interior isn't all black.

Just affraid of that paint-smell you get from painting.

No paint smell either, and it's one of the easiest and most fun mods to do to the mark. It feels GREAT to lose the pealing rubberized interior. BTW how is Marked for Death coming?

*off topic alert* }(

Slowly but surely. I trying to get a house this summer, so I'm not over-doing it right now.

I've got the budget plans, made the wheel choices after measuring (you guys are going to love them, truely unique to a Lincoln or any other American car for that matter), already have the Baer brake setup for an 04 Cobra to bolt in (and have the hubs already).

I have a spare diff right now, but I'm looking to jack up an 99-04 Cobra and compare their IRS with ours. Hopefully the track width is the same, along with the mounting locations. I have a friend with a complete IRS out of a 2004 roll-over (looks fine, just destroyed the front of the car). He's holding onto it until I can compare things to see if it will bolt in.

Already got the stall and tranny bullet-proofed, mix with an 03/04 IRS and Baer brakes will pretty mouch round things out.

But I have to figure out what to do about the front struts. Replace them with stock pieces, or try to retro-fit some aftermarket shocks for better dampening. I know my car floats A LOT at 150mph or so. Trying to calm things down. I'd love to find someone with an old worn-out set of front struts (that they are about to trash). I'll pay for shipping to get them to me, so i can tear them apart to see if we can get some good shocks in them.

My plan is bullet proof the rest the drive train, get a 3.55 or 3.73 gear in there while I am at it (i've had 4.10 to 4.56s in these mod-motors a lot, this car cruises too long at high speeds, it will have a taller gear), which will mean a brake/hub change for the IRS to the Mustang pattern, and at the same time I'll have to slap on the new wheels.

After that comes body mods.

That's the sum of it. I'm doing opposite then my Camaro and Cobra, where I built the power up for them first and THEN built the rest of the car. This Lincoln will be built to handle higher speeds, stopping, and drivetrain pretty beefed up.

Then I'll decide on the power. I'm leaning towards twin turbos actually. Haven't done a kit in a long while, and I think I'm burned out on the superchargers/have taken them as far as I can (had both Kenne Bells and centripicals (sp ck) on several cars).

Another friend of mine has two Mark VIIs (one street car with twin turbos, the other semi-drag w/lots of nitrous) and he's been calling me out to do something to my car to compete with his street car. Hehe.

The only IRS parts from a '99-'04 Mustang that will work are the center section housing with the differential('99 will be a direct bolt-in, but with the '00-'04s you will have to have the side gears and the pinion flange swapped for FN-10 or MN-12 parts) and the rear shocks. The crossmember is totally different as are the control arms and the halfshafts are shorter than the Lincoln's.
