Me thinks it's the trend of ALL previously owned vehicles going up.....new cars are just too expensive!

You are probably right. I do see more people fixing their cars than buying new ones.
"Cash for clunkers" took some good used cars out of circulation too.

cash for clunkers took 1 million good cars off the road... yes all used prices are going up. the price of steel effected this too.

Can't wait to get mine back either. Hopefully I get a good tax refund, so I can start gathering parts. There seems to be some good deals on engines at the local salvage yards.

Great, just what I wanted to find out. Two of my 3 girls want Mark VIIIs as their first cars, believe it or not! Right now they're 12 and 11 so there's some time yet. I wonder what prices will be like in 4-6 years when they're ready to drive. They both have told me they want to buy their cars from our #1 Mark VIII provider from this forum!

I didn't see any Mark VIIIs turned in during the cash for clunkers program at the dealer I work for. Seemed to be mostly crown vics.
