well its finally done and out of my shop for good. i posted about this car in the begining of jan. i repainted this for my buddies wife and gave it back to them on christmas day. since then, i took the car back this week and wet sanded and buffed out the orange peel on the whole car, and sold and installed a set of 18 inch wheels and tires on it. i painted this in my 840 sq foot shop. i dont have a spray booth, and i dont do body work for a career, i'm self taught and i hate it lol. i do not like this line of work, but i'll do it if i need the money and god knows i did need it. so this is the final result, the car looks like it was painted in a professional body shop, easily a 2g paint job, i only wish i made that much. i dont brag, i do things the best i can, but honestly this paint job blows me away totally, i cannot believe i painted this car this awesome. i had it out today in the sun for the first time since wet sanding and buffing it, and i got a bunch of compliments from the guys down at my shop. i'm really proud of this job, deffinetly one of the best jobs i have ever done on anything. i'm really happy and so are the owners. i told them off the bat dont expect a show room paint job, but dammit its pretty close!! check out the pics.

Looks absolutely beautiful, and I love that color. Not an easy color to get looking right. I hope they appreciate how it looks.

Wow looks great. I might have to call you and get some garage car painting tips. I might have some the time and money to do it this summer and I have a decent size garage to work with. The paint on my 95 is really starting to look shabby, but I've seen what the typical 1500 paint job in my area gets you and I don't like it.

So Eric, take a few days off and visit Florida. Jamie would prob save you a few bucks NOT to buy all the equipment...and he already has the necessary training out of the way!

Hey Jamie,

Great job that car looks sweet. Feel like painting the front/rear bumpers on a '99 vert Cobra?. Anyway bro, I've decided against the car lot for the immediate future cause I've been talking to many dealers and friends and the industry is pretty bad right now. Not too mention the DMV inspector said I'd be out of business in a few months with todays market. Thats fine, I'll just keep on doing it without the dealer's license. Just bought another 3 cars at sweetheart deals and am selling them. Hell, everything business-wise is pretty bad in Florida right now.You are very talented with the paint and perhaps you did miss your calling. Get you a job in a local body shop pronto!. You will quickly become their sweetheart!.
