except the crossing gate goes up befor the train is all the way through crossing.
so you may end up with a bad car vs train accident.

I got to watch a PBS show yesterday that showed Trains displayed in Botanical gardens. It was an amazing display. This is a teaser for the show I saw. Note it's been around for a while, just that I never saw the program before.

Am I seeing four isolated loops there? Or are you doing some clever stuff with switches to "share" transformers across some of those without trains crashing into each other?

Yes, my layout has 4 separate trains running on separate loops and the largest loop has 2 sidings, one for the coal loader and one for the log loader. I wanted to get as many trains running that I could, with the space I had.

All the accessories are original American Flyer accessories (not made anymore) with the exception of a few MTH reproductions that I received as gifts. I've been collecting these trains and accessories through the years, by going to train shows.

My first steam engine was a used unit that Santa Claus gave me, supposedly for being good.

Thanks for the other links, I've seen that German one before but it is cool to see again. I was surprised at how many model train videos there are, when I put mine there.

Love the train videos. I had a large layout HO scale back in the day combined with my AFX racecar and Tyco track. I had the AFX tractor trailers too. Those were the coolest. Keep them Lionel's running. Thanks for the video also Steve. Id like to see that place too. ALso that place wonderland i think its called over in Germany i think?. Id be a kid in Disneyland over there running all around trying to see it all. haha.

My brother in law has an excellent G scale layout in his basement. He builds all the buildings, landscape, and moving accessories himself. :thumbsup:
