2 things...
first, the car looks dirty, have never seen a dirty car on your lift..
Second, take your time so I can drive Joe out there with my Mark and see you. If you finish too early, and there is a chance of a spec of salt between Boston and Detroit, the car is not moving.

That's the clean gray car for you. This is not a beauty contest, but an engine swap instead. :tongue-pink:

This car should be all set and done by the end of this month. I won't have time for it later as I have to wrap up another Eaton swapped MA car before spring comes :err-what?:

So seeing as the winter is still in full effect, I doubt you want to drive your car around the Erie lake and its oh so unpredictable "effect".

Oh... I'm totally bringing a big mirror to Carlisle with me now so people can see my sweet oil pan... :D

Get two more for the rocker panels. :eek-large:

BTW, the car also needs front sway bar end links, and two rear shocks. They have leaked out all the fluid :roll_over: and it's staining my floor :mad-tilt:

Hit up Martin, I think he had some minty Tokicos for sale.

Nice job Jeremi!

It's good to know what this was finally. Could you tell if the gasket was leaking more near the cylinder that the plug blew out of? Possible hydrolock from the coolant maybe?

You don't need a mirror to see my rocker panel aero-enhancements... :love-it:

I don't know what those are but, ok... :D

Is it worth upgrading the whole sway bar? (and would a new one have new end links?)

1... let me apologize on behalf of my car... :D

2... with all of Doug's delrin magic whatevers back there, will Tokicos make the ride even stiffer? :err-what?:

(3...) let's pretend - just for a sec - I know nothing about shocks (like say, that they are full of fluid)... :love-it:

Not sure, but I will let you know when the break down party is scheduled for.

No, the stock front anti-sway bar is fine. The end links do not come with the aft replacement. You need OEM or Motorcraft units from RO.

The shocks are not working at all right now, so the ride would be actually smother than it is most likely.

Tokico Blue shock is a good compromise between a performance and a stock shock IMO.

Anyways, the replacement engine is actually pretty damn clean inside. Zero sludge.

The engine is wrapped up and as ready as it ever will be to go back in the car. ____________________________________ Upper controls are a quick job while the engine is out ;)

Yeah, the missfire is gone. And it looks like I was never there ;)

The whole top end and electrical of the engine is from the old one, so clearly none of that was the problem. So much for all the blind guessing :mad-tilt: Could have saved a lot of time and money this way :frown:

I'd recommend a new set of ignition coils just so that they're all matching and fresh. FRPP actually sells a set now reasonably priced. But it runs, and it runs very well.
