Wish me luck guys, I'm having a total knee replacement on Friday 2/10. I should be good to be hoping around Carlisle by June!

Good luck, Leo!!

I know quite a few people who have done knees in the last few years. All have had very good luck. It seems like the technology has come quite a long way.

Good luck, and speedy recovery.

My wife got an ankle replacement a few years ago. Her quality of life is probably way better than it would be if she hadn't done it. It was a process to recover, make sure you do it, don't push it until you have to, then make sure you do the rehab and life will be good in no time.

She didn't get a knee scooter because they had to stabilize the joint way up her leg, so it was healing as well, I had to step up and be a parent and a care giver, make sure she didn't overdo it or underdo it later on.

Good luck man.

Do the rehab!

I had an ACL done about 7 years back. It went well and I had a neat combo of a young lady and older dude for rehab specialists. They kicked me back into gear well. The people I know who have had problems sloughed on the rehab.

My buddy's ex father in law had both knees replaced. He honestly runs circles around us still lol. Just a busy high motor man.

Good luck, Leo. I know I'll be seeing you in June! Penny had both hips done in the past 10 years....she had a great recovery! Knees are a little tougher, but a competent doc will do a great job!

We had to watch a knee op in class a while ago, it wasnt really that bad and the guy recovered pretty fast. Dont think its best to watch the op before you go in though

Thanks everyone! Surgery went well and I'm in rehab now. PT dept here is excellent and will whip me into shape very fast. My only problem is pain. I had a bad reaction to the Dilaudid pain killer, it made me VERY nauseous and I was puking up all over the place. Anti-nausea drugs barely helped. They switched to Oxy which sort of works but I'm still in pain.
