KOOKS or Modified Headers???

I am planning on installing headers this summer and am not thrilled about paying $550+ for them. Anyone who has modified headers, how much work is involved and which ones are the best? How do the hp numbers compare?

Plese, please take my advice and buy prefit headers. I paid 750 for mine and had to try and install them three times, they still never fit right. Buy headers from dan, or the kooks mids. The ones that are made for our cars. They will save you money in the long run.

I just got done installing modified BBK's. Get the kooks midlengths and be done with it.

if you do not plan on welding htem yourself, buy ones already mocked up from dan or kooks

Welding is not a problem, that's what I wanted to know about. Ponyfreak, how did you modify yours?

I have done 3 or 4 sets. It takes time, extra prebent pipe, and a tig welder. Here are some pics of the header during construction.
