That's exactly the problem. The friction material from the clutch pack is floating around in that fluid. While that makes the fluid dirty, it also still remains a way to help the packs engage. If you flush all of the contaminants out and continue to drive on that tranny without getting the clutch packs replaced, they will slip all that much more. You will regret getting a complete flush done after that.
