Yes from Geno, not flaming just stating what was told from me. Needless to say, I am not trying to turn pple off of the possibility of the production of it because I want one. I have already more than likely said to much though

We ALL still want them to get built, and we, at least me anyway, have got the money to back up that claim.

as i stated since the begining of this thread, this discussion is dead, and the mold if you wanted to buy it better get a big loan, unless someone from here know how to do glass drop the subject till geno himself comes out and says its on, might be better off getting some one to fab one up, i have been wanting one for the longest and i have tooo spoke w/ geno bout the wing, like yu's guys ill give my left nut for one or another sweet looking wing,

I believe this is a dead issue. It doesn't appear to be any help keeping this alive. That last part of this is quite comical. If you don't plan on using it ever again, and you know no one is going to make millions off it, why wouldn't you sell it for a resonable amount for the possible betterment of others? Heck, your not making any money with it sitting there! Just sell the thing to someone to do something with it! xo

as i stated earlier i have the ability to do a full prepreg carbon fiber wing also i have acces to quite a few fiber glass shops in my area if it would be possible to rent the mold or what not i could possilbe do something usefull with it

Hi everyone, new Guy here and I have to chime in on this one.

I too have spoken with Geno about this issue in great detail since I have a boat guy locally that is an expert in fiberglass I tried to have him do these, and it all boiled down to a minimum requirement. The guy I was hoping that could do these siad the same thing everyone else said after examining the molds, he needs to make at least 25 to make it even worth it. I too want one just as much as anyone else but making false statements and accusations about quality (Brad) when you do not even own one isn't quite fair in my opinion and it isn't going to help possible or potential sales.

Heres a pic of mine installed, I too thought it was damn thin when it came to me in gelcoat. I wished they used another layer of glass to make it thicker. I mean, common guys..we drive whales...why worry about added streangth. They should of used mat instead of the fine mesh like i think i got from looking under the edge before mine was painted.
Its not hard at all to back engineer this thing. Just a big pain in the ass to mount the nuts in exact same place for everywing. Course i guess it wouldnt matter if they were off by 1/16" if every wing came with its OWN tmplate. Not a problem then. Very labor intensive if you ask me.
I bet i could whip a nice wooden framed foam mould out in four weeks time, if i wanted to take mine off, and destroy my paint. I never did see a price on the mold in all these posts.

I, for one, don't want this thread deleted. It should stand as a reminder as to how much we want to get this project done. I can't believe that the business that owns the mold, and is full control of same mold, will just sit on it from now on. Without making more of them, or selling, renting, leasing, etc. the mold out the individuals that have stepped up to the plate to TRY to get this done.

What good is having the only mold in existance and not use it?? I guess I'll never understand it.

By the way, don't feel bad about not being able to get one. I've been trying for FOUR LONG YEARS now!

That's the shame of it all.

Hey-to catch anyone back up to speed;In april I was in an accident with my mark 8 and ended up needed to get another car. I got an expedition that gets around 40 yards to the gallon; smart move when gas is in the rise-anyway-I lost interest in my mark because i was unsure of whether I would keep it or get rid of it.... Well after a few nice sunny days and a couple walks around it in my yard, I realized I love the car and will definitely start rebuilding it and more...
I have tried to contact Geno a couple of times over the course of the past two months and no answer nor response to the messages !?!
I figured that it is probably because it is racing season he is swamped, so I figure the rush should be over by what august or what not? Then, I will jump on him and get this done-if not maybe we can consider a group purchase of the mold or find some way to get this done. My mark will not be complete without a wing, so this definitely is getting done!!!! I started this thread and I will end this thread after the wings are available for order--which they will be in a couple months!!

Can you understand that there is No one out there that will do these in runs of 20 or whatever. That is why it isnt being done. I just spoke with Geno on this last night.

It's not that he is "Just sitting on it" you do not think he wants to make this product? He CANNOT find anyone to do SMALL runs, so how would someone else getting the mold make it happen?

Call him for more info, he said he would talk to anyone about this.

Well setting differences aside there is definitely someone that is willing to produce the wings in numbers of twenty or so. Fast Glas/Legendary the company that does the cobra r hoods for the mark 8 is willing to do the wings in those numbers just as they have the cobra r hoods on special request over the past some odd years.... Only problem with that is Geno and Larry arent on the best terms--- I think it is still possible though! What number do you call to contact Geno anyway? I cant get ahold of him at all?!?

Alright I finally got ahold of Geno and he explained the whole situation thus far. Think about it like this: Geno has been in the business for quite while now and has an incredible amount of connections and in's at different places and thus far has exorted every possible avenue to get these wings made and just has not found anyone willing to take it on. So this is basically it: We need a guy that will make the wings, crate the wings, and drop ship the wings and do so in quantities of 15-20. Now I will start searching via me working at a car dealership to do this and anyone else that is in the Pa Nj area please do the same if you know anyone.... I will further update this post if I find anything else out~~~

I'd really like one, I'd even be willing to pay the $300 for it. With that being said, whoever has a wing should probably take it off and send it to the guy who can carbon-fiber it, he can probably make the mold out of the "donor" and then were in business. We can talk about it all day long, but it's gonna require action!

I want one but I came to realize that its never gonna happen. Its been discussed sooooooooo many times in the past and nothing gets done about it. there are plenty of ppl who want it, so whats the prob? I don't really know but its not gonna get done, face it.
