Lower rad hose on a 95

Well another job I never want to do again. Some time ago the stealer did a bunch of stuff for me, and they put the oem clamp on the lower rad hose in a position that you couldn't get the oil filter out. I tried to spin it, and it cut into the hose and leaked. New hose has to be cut to size, but don't make it any longer, it wont fit. On the therm housing I used the standard screw type clamp, but on the plastic lower part I re used the oem spring type, don't want to over tighten, and crack the rad. Just have to finish burping it and call it a day, since that's about how long it took.

I actually prefer the OEM spring clamps.

You need 3 sets of special pliers to remove/replace them in various places; straight, 90 degrees and remote cable operated. I even purchased an assortment of differing size spring clamps to be able to have on hand as needed.

I read where your clamping to plastic (rad), to use spring type clamps, so you cant overtighten, and break the plastic. The upper clamp in put on wrong,( tabs toward rear) makes it so you can't get the oil filter out, (what the stealer did). I used the screw type, and figured it was ok since the therm housing is metal. Had to cut the hose to fit, and like most, make it a little longer .HA HA on me, do over, wont fit being too long. Trimed off 1", and it fits. Plenty of room to get oil filter out. Ordered a couple of crossover plugs from Jay, this one is worn out. Well another simple 4 hour job done.
