It was the same Camaro both times. This was me in "Frosty" the NA car with 164k miles, sloppy timing chains, and shift points too high. I am tempted to pull the timing cover before spring and replace all the timing components and visit the dyno to get the shift points down. The car has been pretty noisy on cold startups for awhile now until it is warmed up and driven a few blocks. It has been a bit bothersome to me but for some reason I keep hammering on it. LOL. I'll take responsibility this time if anything happens but hopefully I can address these issues before that point. The transmission and converter have been real champs.
It was a stick and he was a horrible driver. He would have easily gotten me with the auto but he really effed up that 1-2 shift both times when we raced.
Don't play it down bro that was a great victory. I beat them all the time with the Corvette. But to beat them with a Mark VIII is real SWEET!:thumbsup::wave:
