$77,500.00 to compete with Cadillac XLR is what I read.
What could this Lincoln possibly have that would make it worth $30,000 more than a Corvette???

I'm afraid Lincoln is just fooling themselves, and will have no better luck selling these than Ford has had with their $40K T-Bird sister...

Who is running these companies anyway??? Where in h*ll did they get their marketing/program managers???

RE: A couple more pics

That grille is right off the shelf: from a 63 lincoln continental. (I know, I have four 63 lincolns) Also the bright stainless along the top of the fender / door / quarter panel is pulled from the early 60's lincolns. the rear end does not look like anything from the past though.

A friend who likes Fords and loves 2-seat roadsters, sold his 1988 ascMcLaren to purchase a 2003 T-B. The T-B now has 7,500 miles on it, and is going on e-bay to sell it, and he has asked me to help him find another near mint 1987-1990 ascMcLaren. Does not speak well for the 'Bird. They have two strong points:
1. Huge interior room with comfortable surroundings
2. Great exterior/interior colors.

The interior is nice, and a convertible would be great. The price will be way too high, I'm sure

They really need to do something about making the doors look like they didn't come from another car.

I'll settle for the new Corvette since I can't afford the Ford GT or the Ferrari 612. Notice how the lights on the Ferrari and the Corvette are similar style. I wonder if there's away to turn off the stupid GM DRLs on the new Corvette?

Sorry, but I think that front end is fugly. I know it harkens back to the '60s (when it looked good) but not on a modern vehicle.

Ack! that front end is horrifying, I don't care where it came from, it doesn't say 'Lincoln' to me. where is the Lincoln emblem we love to see on the front of our cars?

I'd like to see the 2 seater Mark come back, but not like that and not if Lincoln pins their hopes for success on a rebadged and too expensive thunderbird that they KNOW doesn't sell well at the moment.

With all the "Retro" style cars and trucks coming out lately I think Lincoln's simply trying to follow suit.
Personally, I'm happy to see the Mark line continue in whatever form it takes -- well, I wouldn't be very excited to see a Mark XIII Jet-Ski...
