im at it again. been thinkin of just changing to louder mufflers instead of spending over 700 to get the LMS exhaust. a lot of you say magnaflows the way to go, i have flow 40s on here now. i need 2.25 mufflers, single in, single out, what magnaflow muffler will make this mark sound badass, not too loud at idle, but scream at WOT. part numbers too if you can :) thanks!

no, nobody will do it over here and i won't pass inspection with it straight piped. i would love to straight pipe it believe me. but its not wroth the headache of worrying about passing inspection.

Before my headers, I had the stock exhaust with the rear mufflers deleted. I cut mine off where it goes from the single pipe to the Y for the mufflers. It wasn't too loud at all. It's actually way louder now with mufflers. (no cats ;) )

i would love to get rid of the mufflers, and leave all 3 cats but new york and its strict emissions laws won't allow me too =/ its pretty loud now and noticeable when you get on it or rev at idle, but i want it to have a nice rumble at idle, and scream at regular throttle and WOT ! :) what mufflers will make it loud?

Mufflers don't have anything to do with emissions :D When I had to get my cars emissions tested, they said they couldnt pass me without mufflers, I laughed. lol

If you want that kind of noise, I'd tend to think you'd need something like the bullet style mufflers... they don't do much muffling. I like my mufflers I got from SCP, they're actually quiet at idle but soon as I come off idle they make a lot of noise like I mentioned before. Idk how they'd sound with a car with cats installed.

hmm. are you referring to dynomax bullets? im not that knowledgeable when it comes to knowing the varieties of mufflers lol. i was looking at SCP's mufflers, and since you don't have cats and i do im assuming it would be a lot quieter.

What size pipe did you all use from where the Y was to the back bumper, I love my tips and want that look or did you all do something else

i myself have 2.25'' piping, non TRUE DUAL exhaust because no shop over here will take out the 3rd cat. but i think what most people do here is remove the 3rd cat, put in an x-pipe and run 2.5'' piping out back to mufflers, or just straight pipe it. on the other hand, theres a million things you can do with your exhaust
