Need help with the a/c

Well, if this random diagram I found on line is correct, (it claims to be a 2002 LS V8 diagram) it could indicate a problem the *relay* for the A/C clutch, rather than the clutch directly. I'd replace that relay first. (or swap it with a less important, identical one.)

it also looks like that fuse controls a couple other things. perhaps the problem lies with a different system. of the three things listed, the solenoid should be the largest electrical load. I wouldn't have the slightest clue where to find it though.

i will try it right now, but a higher than normal amperage load on the fuse sounds like a bad clutch coil or something like that. It does not seem to be a dead short since it takes about a minute to blow.

normally I'd agree, but if that diagram is correct, it looks like the clutch coil load is borne by the relay, instead of that fuse.

I suppose you could unplug the clutch, and replace the fuse. I'd put money on it still blowing the fuse.

That's the easiest way to troubleshoot....pull the connectors off the A/C and install new fuse. If it still blows, go to the next (if you can find it) item, repeat. Fuses are cheaper than time......
