Ok here are a few proposed dates.

I was thinking a pot luck kind of thing. I'll provide a grill, some burgers, and some drinks. If there is a big crowd I probably won't have enough for everyone. So if everyone could bring something that would be good, BYOB too.

Here are some things that people could bring-
-paper plates, cups, plastic utensils
-something else besides bugers
-drinks
-chips, snacks etc
-anything else good to eat

Why make people drive hundreds of miles to not even give them free food, pfft the youth of today. I'm having a BBQ but I need u all to bring te stuff, what's the point and motivation?

Really? Thats a hell of an attitude man, hope your joking, you can't always tell through the internet.

I'm remembering back to a Mark VIII meet down in the western CT area years ago, probably at least 8 years. It was at least 125 to 150 miles each way for me. It was down near a lake, a bunch of people showed up. It was a great time, almost everyone brought something different to eat. There was a ton of variety of food and deserts, it was great.

I didn't say I wasn't providing anything, I'll have some burgers, beer, etc. But it would also be great if everyone (or most people) brought something. If it ends up being only 5 or 8 people, I have it covered. But that meet down in Connecticut was pretty big, I don't think any of us realized how many people were going until they all got there. If a lot of people didn't bring something, no way there would have been enough food. Mike, I'm trying to make sure you don't go hungry! ;)

Is there still enough interest? There didn't seem to be too many votes. I'm ready to host it if people are still interested in coming. I had a good time at our impromptu little meet last weekend!

Im definatly in for whichever date ! Had a lot of fun at our impromtu. Thats the most mark viii's ive seen since working at North Shore Lincoln Mercury in '98 or my own driveway. Ill try to bring a friend so i can bring both cars !:D

I'm in, if not for a big meet at least to meet you after all these years. Afterall, we used to only live a town apart.

I'd so make the drive with the Mark this time but I can't see that working out at the moment. I'll definitely be back sooner than later and I'll leave the Explorer home :D

Yeah leave that exploder home . Arent those the suv's that the tire's would explode and werent they prone to rollover

Stop hating! :p No they were never prone to rollovers, that was the first and second gens. Why would I fly in? It was cost me more in airfare than driving. I'll switch off between my black LSC and your silver frost :D

I am not sure about the 4th or 5th myself; I am expecting a large job to be thrown at me around that time but if the weather was perfect I couldn't justify working.
