New Exhaust on my 98 LSC

I bought it, and it had the mufflers already cut off and straight piped with stock tips.
Sounded ok at 2000 rpms but when wailing above 3000 it sounded horrid. Plus the neighbors hated my 6:00am start-up. So, I took it to my local exhaust shop and went with the Magnaflow Magna-packs, rather than the cheap-o bullets. They offered them to me at 1/2 price + install. Who was I to turn down such a deal? Then they moved the tips IN and UP to better match the bumper's lines.

I was amazed at the quality and time the tech took to make sure I was happy with the tip placement. Then he painted the mufflers black.

Now it's PERFECT

sound clip to follow

Looks good, I'm curious to see how this sounds. The rest of the exhaust is stock except for the Magna-packs then?

I was thinking about painting my Magnaflows black, too. Looks fantastic!! Great job on the tips. :D

Yep...all stock...I'm in Kalifornia, and the emission laws prevent me from removing any cats...besides, all I wanted was some decent mufflers that sound better than stock and better than NONE.
I STILL need to record a sound clip. It's nothing drastically loud or anything...just sounds better than stock, a tad healthier and lets folks know there's something lurking under the hood of what appears to be an ordinary domestic sport coupe from the 90s.

Exhaust is all stock...remember, when I bought it, there were NO mufflers...I wasn't going to just pay for some stock replacements...I was going to put some bullets on it but they are the same cost as a Magna-pack, so I went with better quality from an American company with a warranty.

I'm probably the minority but I really enjoy the exhaust note of these cars stock. In my opinion my car with the air intake silencer removed and the subtle stock growl of the factory exhaust perfectly fits the car; problem is I'm sure it's not the best for performance. :(
