I've been looking through these forums for a while and finally decided to register! I bought my first car, a mark viii, from my neighbor and I love it. It has your average old car problems that I need to take care of in the spring. Unfortunately, I bought the car with a broken heater but I did the fix and the arm reinforcement all myself with the help of these forums. I think my next adventure is going to be trying to do the cobra intake swap. It doesn't seem too daunting but i still have lots of research to do before I'd be ready to do it myself. This is a really helpful website and I'm glad now to be a part of it!

Congratulations on your new car, and your success in tackling one of the more daunting repairs these things present us with. I'd say you are on the right track.
