Looks Great Dave!!
Out of curiosity, how did you do this:

Did you paint around the letters or did you have the letters chromed in after the paint?
I was waiting for someone to ask that. I just had it painted around the letters. When i had it originally painted, the guy put vaseline in there so the paint wouldn't stick. Then, after it had dried for a week or so, i went back and he took a razor, and went around the letters and took the paint out, and cleaned up the vaseline. When i had the car redone, i didn't ask them to do that trim again, since it looked fine, but they redid it anyway. I'm glad they left the chrome in there, although i'm not sure if they used the same method or not. I like that little touch a lot, since my car is probably the only one that was ever done like that. It makes it unique. And a discerning eye can still tell it from an actual LSC, because of that little feature.
I haven't driven it much at night, but it does seem like a significant improvement with the new housings. I didn't have any problems seeing with the old ones though, since HID'S ROCK
. But yes, the road is brighter with the new ones. I'll get a good front shot with the HID's on as soon as i remember to. Maybe i can get it with a nice sunset in the background or something. I'm thinking i want to head down to south river road and get some nice night pictures of my car, like Jeff did awhile back.
Jeremi, i'm up for some more testing if you are. I tried my car out a few times when i got it back and didn't do so good. My best was a pair of 15.3's
. My best at the track was a 15.1. I guess gen 2's are slow. I'll do some more testing tonight, if it's nice out. You don't notice at the track, but after a couple of quick stops from 100 mph you can smell brakes (not just on the lincoln, either, the other cars i've tested were just as bad if not worse). I actually boiled the brake fluid after the first couple of runs. Mushy pedal sucks.
This weekend i plan to:
- bleed all the brakes with DOT 4 fluid
- clean and polish all the wheels, off the car (while i'm bleeding the brakes
- detail the engine compartment
- attempt to install an '02 GT airbox
- polish all the glass on the car
When i do all that i'll get some more pictures.
