New Year, New Mark

I haven't been checking the forum much since I was busy over the holidays, but I did get myself another Mark VIII. This one's a '94 with an incredibly low 42K miles.

Wow! Congratulations! The year is off to a great start.

What's the car's story? Color? Options?

I tried to post a photo last night, and I've spent the last 15 minutes dicking around with it again. I keep getting errors, and I don't think I can make this picture any smaller.

rsz_12marks.jpg: Exceeds your quota by 46.5 KB. <--- That's after I shrunk the image down to 92KB.

Also, when I tried to link from google photos, it tells me it's invalid.

It's a green/tan 1994 that sat in someone's garage for almost 20 years. My friend had been telling me about it for a while now and told me to go make an offer on it. It belonged to my friend's uncle-in-law, who had got it a part of restitution (it formerly belonged to his business partner, but was seized by the FBI).

It has a lot of superficial scratches and was sitting on its frame when I went to check it out. I pumped up the tires and hooked up jumper cables so I could check the suspension. It didn't fully inflate and it gave me a warning to check air-ride. I cycled the key again, and it inflated all the way. It's been sitting in my yard for 4 days now, and it hasn't sagged a bit. Interior is near mint. Rear window gasket is slightly lasagna. I bought a battery yesterday and oil yesterday, and the next step will be changing all the fluids.

Wow! What a find!

I'm a sucker for the green cars, and that's quite a story to go with it, too! I'm glad to hear it's holding air, and it sounds like it's basically a time capsule. I'm looking forward to the pictures.

As for your image posting troubles, I know that one of the perks of becoming a paid member of the club is unlimited disk space for attachments. Without that, I know that not a lot is provided, particularly for "modern" photos of cars.

You may be able to host the image elsewhere though, and post a link.

Welcome to the Lincolns of Distinction!

Sounds like a great car!

I've got a green 94 too, and a green 93 as well.

Pretty sure that's the same color as Bill's car. It's one I like a lot.

A very nice addition to your fleet.

You could email one of us the pictures, but it would be beneficial to become a member.
