Noisy suspension

The only thing I don't see in that is the sway bar link but I'm assuming it'll be easier to see when i get under there but its a great write up thanks!

The first picture is the end link. They aren't bad on these cars since you're not compressing rubber bushings and dealing with rusted threaded rods, etc, they are just a simple ball joint type connection.

Planning on it too. I have some lowering springs, sway bars, im still trying to decide on a few other components on what brand to get. Goals set for next fall

Nice job! I'm glad the LCAs took care of the noise. I see your end links are shot too :( Luckily mine were still in good shape when I did my suspension in 2011 at 102K miles.

The rest wasnt too bad aside from road grime, the guy before me had alot of the suspension replaced. The links are pretty simple to do so i might do them next weekend. Also i dont see the crack

That's some good wrenchin' those definitely needed to be done.

The front links are easy, cheap, and will often solve a lot of rattles.

Also, if you really are sitting on a better rear sway bar, swap that one asap. It makes a huge difference in handling. You'll love it, and it's a quick job. Just know that if you are increasing the bar diameter, you will break the rear mounts eventually. swap 'em out with the Energy Suspension greasable mounts if you go that way. DLF had a great write up on this.

My brother said that I would need to put my other springs in because of some clearance issues with the bar so I was planning on doing it after the winter. I have a set of Vogtland lowering springs that I was gonna put on at the same time. Out of everything on these car's that's been difficult for me I can at least be happy that the suspensions easy. After this I'm onto the body work to keep it from rusting out over the next few winters, Hopefully it doesn't cost too much since I've been trying to save up for a Cobra Bumper and college

I find myself wondering if suggesting that these priorities be swapped is wise... it's a tough call...
I mean all I really need is my EMT license but i plan on going for the degree after that since I already have alot of credits in those zones, can get a job making alot more on a 3rd party ambulance than what I am now.

Other news I have a popping sound from my passenger side on some bumps, sounds kinda like i'm rolling over a popcan. Ball joint or end link i don't know but the good side of this is that I got a 80$ settlement from Kmart so new end links on Monday.

here's what I did to the rear sway-bar body tabs when I upgraded my 94 from stock to Addco 1-1/4 bar.
I had to add shims(washers) to make up for the larger bar thickness since I kept breaking the mounting tabs/brackets.

That's a useful graphic.

I didn't do that, and the "T" part broke off one side in less than a week..

Also, the world needs more EMTs. You'll have mad respect, from me at least, if you go that direction. that's a tough job.

We need to save the picture since it's pretty good, havent gotten under there yet since I've been fixing the van but I'm wondering if I have to fish it through the exhaust

It's not exactly a good thing to need them, just good to have them. It's weird that it's only one semester and a few ride alongs and you're in. BTW the stations have some pretty nice tools to work on cars with...

So i put the new endlinks on, mine were broke in half. Sound went away. New sound now sounds like someone hitting a hammer against metal from my passenger side wheel

Rear or front? Rear I would suspect the upper shock mount. Front some control arm piece.

If it is the front start soaking those big bolts in your favorite penetrating oil. If none are seized it is not that bad of a job.

Ive had them all off recently so theyre all easy. Put a little grease in the upper ball joint and it was fixed, need a way to stop it from spitting it out though
