The roll cage is for protection in case things go bad on high speed run. Its an 8 point. I'm not quite there yet to mandatory need it at the 1/4 track as of yet, I don't think, never had a true run yet without problems in the 1/4 mile, but car is being built for a top speed run, hence the new motor, trans and gear change. Think im going back down to stock Lincoln gearing, or 3:73s and going to sell the Eaton 4:11 setup. It's too high of a gear now and car is undriveable on street tires. Forget driving it in the rain with a lock up rear end. drifting is fun and all, but it gets old fast when you're trying to drive off quickly and the car is sliding into the other lane in traffic and you have to let off. You just want to go. haha. And 50 series street tires are not up to the task. It's too much gear for what were running under the hood and plan on making more after rebuild.Congrats Jeff!
yeayyy. Thank you all!!!!! I just noticed this and i was online last night posting. Heyyy theres my car! haha Don't know where that was taken, but its a cool shot and i saved it. I ran the chrome rims and mikey thompsons one pass at SSHS then slapped on the Hoosiers, so it was probably there.
I spy a roll cage. You must be planning on going really fast. What's going on there? I'm intrigued.
