Got her all waxed up and running well, just have to figure out how to get my daughter's entourage of crap into the trunk. Plus I need to save room for beer and car parts.

Wash and wax day...

I really hate waxing... it's not so much the work I hate as it is the discovery of every nick, scratch and swirl throughout the paint. The CE is not a bad looking car but it desperately needs a clay bar treatment and polish job if not a full on wet sand and paint correction. But for 18 years old, I guess the factory paint has held up fairly well.

Oh well, all it needs is to wax the front and rear bumpers, clean the glass and a little TLC on the interior before starting the packing for the trip to Carlisle. :)

I use the Meguiars three step first I buff it out with a wool pad then polish with a foam pad and finish with a hand wax washing the car between steps .Six hours later the car looks like it's made out of glass

I know the feeling, I only put 3k miles a year on but seems like there's 200 more defects every year.

I even went as far as running a clay bar across it, nice and smooth but still a 20 footer. Plus after driving to Carlisle she will need another good rub down.

I hate paint imperfections too. But if you want a driver that is the way it is. If you want a trailer/garage queen then you can have nice paint. I realized I rather be a driver.

You're hired! Bring your gear to Carlisle and you can do mine. It would take me 3 days to do a 3 step job with a wash each time! LOL

Unfortunate, but very true...

... suppose I should take her off jack stands now.
LOL... and I thought I was being crafty waxing the car while it was on the lift.

I jack my cars up with the Module 8 or Asham when I wash or wax mine.:D

I washed mine today, here's a rare shot of it in the garage.

Terrible shots, but different camera settings show different colors.:)

Stopped in Auburn IN, spent two hours at the Auburn Cord museum.... needed two more days to see it all.

Safe travels, have fun! And FYI, The Kid has taken the cake tossing tradition to the convention he attends every year at the same time. Feel free to drunk call him.

This excellent news. Both the spread of LOD lifestyle, and drunk calling. Which are kind of the same thing, really...

This morning, Eric talked me into visiting some old house with a leaky basement... it was ok, I guess..
