Nice hunting Micah! Wouldn't it just be easier to bribe someone from Fiesta Faction to "borrow" their car... LOL

I kind of like the South of the Border theme and it could easily be done. We could roll the song "Tequila" during inspection? Sombreros make me smile (not to mention 1800 Anejo). Bright colors and tasty snacks.

Also, it's the start of summer movie season. Movies might be another theme. Screen "Lincoln Lawyer" and other films inside the tent?

I have another suggestion for the tent... how about a drive in movie theme complete with a really bad movie?

All we need is the screen and a projector for the DVD. I have a DVD I made for my drive in movie event last year complete with old drive in movie ads, Bugs Bunny cartoon, and the worst movie ever made, Plan 9 From Outer Space.

The DVD without the cartoon and movie is here: http://youtu.be/MoLTdVTDS7U

We could easily put together a version for the LOD tent.

I've been dreaming about the movies for years. I have easy access to screens and projectors, but the issue has always been power. LCD projectors, particularly bright ones, are power hungry. If anyone has suggestions for power. (small generator, inverter with multiple batteries, etc.) we could make this happen.

Of course there's always a chance we'd run afoul of the MPAA's public performance rights, too.. so that may at least be something to consider.

well you are not charging people to see it but carlisle charging people to get in the fair grounds. you can pick movies that are public domain to play it safe.

I have a number of public domain movies on file so that's not a problem. However, if we want one that isn't some are not really expensive, just a few dollars and sometimes no charge.

Bad SciFi or beach/car movies are plentiful in public domain. We could actually have three or four films and even post a time schedule.

We could have old fashioned candies and toys to sell also, I know who to get them from and I'm sure we could work a deal to get stuff on consignment and return whatever we don't sell. The owners are friends of mine and do a lot of my shows. www.bobbhowardsgeneralstore.com

What if we just compile videos of lincolns in different movies and tv shows? A good 30 minutes worth is out there, for sure. Screw the MPAA. lol

How much power do you think we need? I am a generator guy by trade. Pretty sure I can scrounge something up....:)

If we do fiesta, we get Margaritas.
I love the Fiesta idea. It's a natural progression from the Hula theme of last year and very befitting to the LOD drinking heritage.

We could give away little sombreros with LOD imprint. I checked online, not too expensive at around $3 each.
...
Hire a Mariachi band for a couple of hours to entertain judges from Ford, they could even wander over to the Ford booth to serenade them! And better yet, wander over the Yellow Mustangs and RUB IT IN! Of course they would wear the LOD Sombreros.

And of course... MARGARITAS! (Virgin ones for the kiddies)
I think Micah is onto something here... I'm leaning towards Mobster or Fiesta. (Anyone got a Ford Fiesta we can decorate in front of the tent :D)

FIESTA it is! :D

Sombreros, Mariachi Band/Music, Tequila, Margaritas, Maracas, Ponchos, Piñatas, Cactus, Chile Peppers, bright red and green colors... the possibilities are endless.

We could prop someone in the corner of the tent with a Sombrero, dark glasses and a Poncho for realistic effects! ;)
