One piece driveshaft

There is no carrier bearing the two pieces is actually two tubes slipped inside of each other and welded on the end that connects to the pumpkin. A one piece 93 driveshaft will swap directly in place of it. Many people do this as a substitution for buying the 450 dollar mmx driveshaft. only fun part of the job is dropping the gas tank to get it out.

You gotta be kidding me...I have to take the gas tank out of my car?
Why?This doesnt sound good, could you clarify this for me.This sounds like a massively expensive swap as I cant let the guys in my shop do this.....My mechanic,Norm isnt even gonna want to do this.

You can unbolt the rear end and lower it enough to snake the driveshaft back and out of the tranny.

I have a 95 mark VIII.At this point I assume it has a two piece
driveshaft with carrier bearing or whatnot. Can I take a one piece driveshaft from a 93 and mate it to this unit?If so are there any difficulties that I need to let my shop guys know about?

Do it yourself. Make sure it has a near empty fuel tank. Its about as easy as changing your oil. Seriously no big deal.

You know, you don't even have enough initiative to walk out to your car, kneel down, and spend 10 seconds seeing what your driveshaft looks like and how it fits into the car.

You'd rather sit on your ass in a comfy chair and let strangers thousands of miles away describe it to you.

Maybe you shouldn't bother.

Its a little difficult for a guy my size to shinny under one of these
units. The reason Im asking for advice is because Driller and the rest of these folks have a reputation as experts in this subject.
And just for the record,I have a skinny ass.
