Outside/Inside Temperature Button: Did you know?

That you can hit the Outside Temp button, shut your car/key off, turn it back on, and it will display the outside temperature for as long as you want until you hit the button again? I found this out by accident when I arrived at work and checked the temp before getting out. It will keep updating the current temp as well. Cool!

My 97 doesn't do this.

It will stay on until you hit another button on the climate control.

My 98 doesn't do this either.

I've heard that some Fords you could leave the outside temp on, but my Marks never did that.

I would like that feature.

My Navi' and Town Car will stay on Outside Temp once selected even after cycling the ignition.

My Mark VIII didn't do that, but my crown vic does. Weird.

I just tried it.

It works on my '97, but only if the climate control is turned off. Otherwise, it reverts back to interior temp.

Ok, that worked on the 98, I didn't try the 97 yet.

I'll have to try it on a 94.

I never turn the climate control off, I've heard it's best to leave it on.

Turned the key on, inside temp set to 70, pressed outside temp 58, turned the key off and back on and it shows the inside setting of 70, pressed the outside button and now it reads 107 all the time.

Pull battery ground and let it drain down, reattach. It'll prob be fine.
