i could care less how many are out there. i dont buy my vehicles based on popularity, i buy what i want to drive because i want it, not because anyone else tells me what i should drive. i know there are alot of them out there, but thats good, because that means they sold alot of them and there are millions and millions of parts for them, unlike the marks where there is nothing for them! i mean christ you cant even buy head light bulbs for them how pathetic is that!!!!! so its all good i will be another one of the 3 million mustang owners thats fine, to me, its just a car i have wanted for a long time so i am doing it for me, not mustang owners!!

Haha. Just givin' ya crap Jamie. Honestly I had the chance at an 03' GT with perfect maroon paint, tints, and 42K miles a few years back that I could have nabbed for $10K but again, the whole height thing. I actually had my Mark VIII at the time already too and I said screw it, I'm just gonna keep going with what I have. I still rub my headliner in the Mark8 too but somehow I justified it and reclined the seat a bit. If I drive the car with a "relaxed" posture, I'm ok LOL

How many miles are on the GT?

Nice clean car!
I hope it's a 5 speed, that's even more fun. :big-grin:

And with your knowledge, that mustang is going to be awesome.

I'm anticipating a whole new "part interoperability" list. :)

Its a nice GT, I like the New Edge styling.
The options to modify are endless.
I was kinda looking for a early Cobra/Mach 1 myself.
Bought more Mark parts instead.....its a dam disease.

Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I've been down the same road with my Mark VIII recently.... Before I did my headers and dyno tune I strongly considered just quitting and picking up a GT, Mach1, Cobra etc. But I just can't do it. I'm hooked, have been ever since I owned my first one. Idk why... maybe because it's something different, maybe because I like to see the faces of people when they get beat by an old Lincoln. Anyways good luck on the stang. The parts are cheap and the possibilities are nearly endless. I know I saw a magazine article where they got a 99 GT with over 100,000 miles to run very low 13's with nothing but a few cheap bolt-ons AND it was an automatic.

Yeah, you can get 12s NA from a GT with full bolt-ons. 4.30 gears on the GT with a manual would be pretty sick Jamie. <nudge nudge> ;)

my brother in law has an 05 GT 3 valver with a manual and 4:10's and a huge ( Garrett i think ? ) turbo intercooled. it did have a paxton on it but he traded the paxton for a harley and turbo'ed the stang instead. its a full street car with cd player and ac, leather loaded up nothing is removed from the car and he ran a 10.62 at lebanon valley dragway in new york, and he can still get 22 mpg on the highway lmao!! he also has deep pockets so i cant compete with that lol.
this is his 05 GT
