Here is another one for Joe, I moved a tree today by my self and I am hurting. This is one of 3 loads. I never drove with a trailer before, lets just say i need more practice going in reverse with it.

Vortech kicked in yo
Well, today I decided (well, I actually decided right after I bought the car:rolleyes:) that something up front was making a deadly clunking noise that was going to eventually send me off the road into a barrel roll. The culprit was an outer tie rod end on the driver's side that had more slop in it than I have ever seen. As a matter of fact, I think that the boot was the only thing holding it in place. The passenger side was not as bad, but had enough play to also necessitate replacement.

We went off on a tangent with a steam cleaner. It was pretty fun. :D

And since I am not a fan of plastering my political views on my car, the bumper sticker had to go. Bye bye Ron Paul.

That also included a sheriff's club sticker and an Apple logo. I am not a member of that club and I own an HP computer. LOL

This is what came off of the switches and surrounding bezels ONLY after the steam cleaning. The climate control module in particular was so caked with coffee that the previous owner spilled that the buttons would stick and stay depressed when I pushed them. After the steam cleaning, all is well.

Then we decided to put some real connecting rods on the Marquis. She has quite a knock now.

Anyhow, twas a good day I guess. Now my car won't send me into a fiery crash from a broken tie rod. Next will be a shampoo of the carpet this spring to get rid of the stale cigarette odor. For now I have that issue masked with air vent fresheners that smell like women's shampoo.

I admit that I am beginning to fall in love with the car. It should make a good daily driver replacement for Frosty and does SUPERB in the snow. The traction control system is far less annoying than the Mark8s have and it actually still likes to accelerate through the snow when it is kicking in. The PI 4.6 is much more aggressive than the 91 Town Car that I used to have even with single exhaust on this car. The Townie had duals.

Frosty is getting parked at my buddy's house tomorrow and I still plan on trying to sell it this spring. My craigslist ad was timed very badly. We got dumped on the next week after the ad went up. So much for letting people test drive.

We have no idea where he got that from. One day i asked him do you want to be super good or super bad. with no hesitation he shouted super bad, even after we tell him he needs to be good he still says bad. lol

Steve, that video was awesome. So is your kid. Nice work on that one. :D

Kirk, Nice work on cleaning up the new car. I bought my Town Car in the fall, and had to wait till spring. Assuming the cupholder in this thing is the same design as my Town Car's, it's terrible. I really wish it wasn't in there at all. I had the same problem with my climate control. Lvnmarks actually replaced it for me with a "less sticky" one.. :D Apparently they're all like that.

'82-ish Continental Mark VI, I presume.. you could get it in a two-door, but I'm having a difficult time telling if there's a spare tire hump on the trunk. it almost looks like there isn't. Although I'd guess that the quarters are the same as the Town Car, so swapping in a regular town car deck lid would probably line up fairly well under those circumstances. (other rear-end features such as the reflector strip having been removed..)

For now take out the ash trays and give them a good cleaning if you haven't already. Another simple and cheap way to help with the smell this winter is to get a couple boxes of baking powder and leave them in the car for a while. When I quite this last summer I bought some and emptied them into 4 plastic grocery bags and dispersed them throughout the car. Worked wonderfully, though I never smoked with the windows up so it wasn't as bad as somebody who did. Those cars are just disgusting.

Is that down were they host Cars & Cafe?
Nope, its out from tonka bay.

Same type of deal, guys buy them and trick them out.
Its gated, need code to access the compound.
If you saw it from the road you would have no idea what it was, or whats there.
He had a full loft set up above the cars.
A place to escape for sure.

Hard to comprehend the kind of money that is there.

The price on the car was more then I can make in a year.:rolleyes-green:
