Sam, had I given it more thought, I would have tried to talk you into hanging with the LA crowd last weekend. Mark, Kirk, and I just drove 2000 miles each way, to hit that one. and It's (relatively) just down the road, from you..

Spotted this magical place on my drive home. I passed up, and ir took a couple miles for the name to register.. i turned back.. :)

That was a bit North-East of Las Vegas on the Great Basin Highway (Hwy 93) I decided I was tired of all of the traffic (and poor drivers) on 15, and bypassed a bit of it on 93, instead.

93 was a pretty drive, but I only took it north to Panaca before cutting over, rather than cutting all the way to Ely, as I'd planned. It was getting dark, and I wouldn't be able to see the scenery anyway..

There were so many temptations "on the way" back from LA. I very nearly cut north to see Sequoia, but figured I wouldn't have enough time to do the place justice.
