The block would fit, the heads wouldn't.

That would be nice though. They originally had small V8's in the MGB GT hardtop. They also have kits now for 302 V8's in the MG.

So how can i hide whats under the new paint that i put on? I have SS black and if i take a light to it i can begin to see where the old clearcoat was missing

Even the 3 cylinder version would have more HP than what the MG has now.

The Midget is a bit smaller than my MGB, but people have put V8's into them too.

The Midget is actually a re-badged Austin-Healey Sprite, and they were both built at the MG factory.
