Sure didn't. I've got a few different pads ordered, so we'll see what results they produce.Austin - did you get rid of that scratch and those swirls?
I absolutely love my PC! Most of the projects I've worked on require a fair amount of wet sanding, this one is the first that I can't really justify sanding on, so it's throwing me for a loop. Got some fresh 105 coming in the mail, too.Nice, with effort and the right products you could make that old paint really stand out! Wash, clay, wash again, correct the paint with some rubbing compound, Meguiar's 105, then 205, followed by glaze and wax. Of course it makes it easier with a machine buffer/polisher like the Porter-Cable.
ADDED: Austin - I've had success in removing scratches with the 3M Scratch Removal System which basically is a wet-sanding using 3M 3000-grit sandpaper (super-fine) and rubbing compound, followed by the above procedure using the P-C. Can't tell the scratch was even there, it all depends on how deep it is. I use Adam's Polishes pads on my P-C.
Yes please. I don't get to see many vintage rides coming though the shop, but I've laid my right foot into some nice modern muscle.
And by laid my right foot, I mean gently applying enough throttle to keep the car from stalling.
(I park cars at a Ford dealer.)
Hmmmm....I have.........plans.
I see things I like. :thumbsup:Those plans........
