MOAR Bicep.
I am currently about 1000 calories over maintenance since I started bulking almost 3 weeks ago. I am up 11 pound in this time but the weight will likely taper off soon and be a more gradual climb. From what I have determined recently, I have been working out for 17 months but have been essentially starving myself of the fuel I need to run this vehicle which requires premium fuel and lots of it! If anyone that has been following knows where I was in February 2011, I started out as a string bean with a poor diet and a seemingly chronic case of acid reflux which has pretty much disappeared.
Then:
Now:
And again, now:
And also again, I don't need to be reminded of how boring the topic of physical fitness is. Why? Because I totally understand. I was there folks! It is not commonplace for the every day working American, especially with a family and other obligations to have this at the forefront of their mind, and quite frankly, some people are not as lucky as I am. I am a single guy with an easy Monday through Friday job with consistent hours, but one thing I can say that I hope someone takes away from this is that I have never felt better in my life. I figured that pretty much life at this point has been increasingly more simple as I have overcome certain things in my life so how about adding a challenge to my life. Not a destructive one, but rather a constructive healthy way of living. I have truly risen up out of the deepest, darkest place in life as a former drug addict who came clean in 2004. I weighed a mere 140# at a stretched out 6'5" tall when I decided enough was enough. I came clean, picked up my hobby of fishing and decided that I also wanted to get into Lincolns. Working out for me has just been extra credit and gravy to go along with the mashed potatoes.
