Those Crêpes look amazing, but I would think that in Michigan, you'd be able to find /real/ maple syrup. :D That, or Raspberries, Blueberries, and whipped cream, are the only way to go..
THANK you. ;) If you want to one-up Michigan syrup and get the best maple syrup in the world from Vermont, let me know. :D

In other crêpe news...

How I spent my day:

Check it out! Shop air! Finally!

That big green compressor probably weighs more than I do, and I got it up there singlehandedly using methods so dangerous and irresponsible that I will not discuss them further. I survived, and it is mounted securely now, and up out of the way.

I mounted my new 50' hose-reel, too.

Next I just need one of those snazzy lifts.. and maybe some air tools... And if anyone has an old steam whistle for sale, I find myself suddenly in the market for one. :D

Now I'll just wait while all of you tell me I need to insulate, finish, and organize my garage..

Went for a burger and came home with 3rd Place! Woohoo. LOVE hanging out talking about Mark VIIIs. Good times. :big-grin: And the kid with the Lightning was awesome. I always wanted one. Probably good I never bit the bullet because I can barely behave in my Mark. :smile-purple:

What IS in "log cabin syrup??" o_O
It is basically thickened soda pop with chemicals that replicate maple flavor. On the flip side, maple syrup is the juice from the maple tree that only oozes out on certain days of the year and is then repeatedly boiled down to 40:1. In other words, it takes 40 gallons of tree juice to make one gallon of syrup.

Nice going, HOT MK8!!

The Log Cabin Syrup I used comes in a small "jug" and had brown rice syrup, sugar, water.

Tixer - nice job on the compressor!

Be careful overloading the garage truss. Hate to see a bad accident.
Yeah. I've got more stuff stored up above than I'd prefer. But the compressor's new home is supported on two sides by the outside walls of the garage, and on the front I have a vertical support right to the floor, and one more at a diagonal back to the wall. Hopefully that proves to be adequate. but if you are guessing as to how I hoisted it up there to begin with, you aren't too far off... :D

You are preaching to the choir, mister. I know exactly what is in the good stuff; I was born and raised a Vermont syrup snob. Someday I may venture into an IHOP (not without my OWN stash from home) and ask what grades their "syrup" is. :D

With "LOD" Since 1997
You're in NJ (my home.....) how far do you have to drive to get more?
I did not drive, Bud Pytko dropped it off for me on his annual pilgrimage to up state NY. But I use the Costco maple syrup now with out any NY/VT stuff, its is good just not as good.
