I think the Kooks headers for our cars are a great design. Their filler weld is wrong. That's the issue. You can't use steel filler on a 304 stainless header and not expect it to break apart over time with hot/cold cycles. The guy who fixed that header who is actually an employee that works with the guy that is fixing this header told me that is why my Kooks header failed at that bung. That is probably why your collectors cracked as well. Whether that is happening with our Kooks headers regularly or sporadically, I don't know but I have a feeling that a 3rd party has the jig and it is not Kooks themselves making our headers anymore.

Yes, these aren't even self energizing brakes, the brake cylinder is on the bottom, and the manual adjuster is at the top, and it's fixed to the backing plate.
