My first car was a 66 LeMans 4 door. I had a bad a** 8 track under dash deck......Nugent and Black Sabbath rocked the Jensen 6 x 9's. I invented air guitar.

I wish my wiring and tinkering skills would allow me to use the cassette line input for my aux in I added to the radio. I used the CD changer in, and currently need to have a CD in and "playing" for my Bluetooth input. Every 6 or 7 hours it spits out the disc and won't work until I power down the car then start it back up.

I am saddled with the dealer add on version as well, so wiring it sorta crazy, and it is a vertical tower (but I use it to bungee cord my tool box so it doesn't slide around).

At first glance I figured someone put SHO wheels on a Police Interceptor. Then I got closer, and saw it was actually an SHO, so this is right up there with putting a pushie bumper on a Marauder...

That's pretty sweet. I looked at getting a push bumper for the 86 town car, but the mounting points were just a bit different, and I was broke. . It never happened..:)

BIG ROLLER

Last pass on that car was an 8.7@160mph. That thing flies. He actually had a worse short time that pass too. He's been in the 1.2s with it. If he repeats that again with 1.2s, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see an 8.50

Here's an 8.8 pass. Flat and straight....just perfect, no drama.

That is such a sick ass car.

I haven't read all his build thread on the other forum just skimmed through it. Is he still running the IRS or did he swap to a solid axle?

I was going to ask you Kirk about that on your car also when you were here in California but never got to it. What kind of setup are you running? Have never seen you mention anything about it before. Which I am sure you have just never seen it myself.

Also, don't think you noticed it on here. But it was great getting to meet you, man. It was a blast hanging out. Hope to do it again when ever you make it back down.

Keep up the good work, my friend.

That is a ton of work to do and end up in that situation, sorry to hear it. I get mad when something I do that takes 10 minutes fails or needs redone.

got it installed, everything hooked up.
started first try, run a for a bit, stalled, restarted, started knocking, and i believe threw a rod.
so this short block is probably toast. i have another short block so i guess that's the next step.

That is high tech. I worked on a Honeywell system that was the size of a refrigerator, a 20x20 crd that had less than a meg of memory. Punch cards, paper tape, 600 line per minute printers. We did have some x86 machines, for the token-ring network, with orange phosphorus displays.

They did finally ditch that system, as my MOS from the USMC has been removed.
