I think you've got it all figured out, since I see the green "Member" flag next to your name now.
Non-paid forum members have a (pretty minimal) amount of space on the server for uploading pictures, and generally have to resort to 3rd party image hosts to get the job done.
Now that you're a paid member, that will no longer be a problem for you. It takes a day or so for our President to get the account updated after payment is made, but it looks like you're good to go.
