Premium or Regular?

Just wondering what kind of fuel everyone runs in their TCs.

I heed the advice of the sticker on the inside of my fuel door and run 93 oct, figuring with all the weight and only 200 or so bhp, I need all the boost I can get. Maybe it helps with fuel economy too.

I also buy brand gasoline such as Exxon-Mobil. I love Shell fuel and use it in my other car when I can find a station.

Different Town Cars have different calibrations and thus require different octane fuel. Our 2006 Town Car is fine with regular octane, while the '99 Navigator recommends Premium. Of course all Mark VIII's require Premium.

If your Town Car recommends Premium, that is what I would follow.

What does the owner's manual say? I don't think there is any benefit to running higher octane fuels if the manual states regular. others may say different.

Thanks, it's 93 for me.

Checked the owners manual and it recommended that I follow the advice of the sticker on the fuel door. Glad that sticker is still here!

I run 93, but I am pretty sure the manual says 91 on my 98 Mark.
