Please keep in mind, I have not had a chance to clean the car properly yet.

Where??? The top side of the mufflers? The backside of the rims? Inside the fuse box? The defrost duct?:D

Ohhhhhhhhhh... I see, no engine pics! Aha... dirty engine compartment?j/k

PS: I envy you western desert dwellers... no lawn to mow! Low maintenance landscaping!

Nice pics.:)

Thanks for the kind words. The car photographs well, it seems. The body is very, very good, and black is such an unforgiving color. I plan to polish and detail it this weekend, schedule permitting. The wheels are GRUBBY! Can't tell in the pics, luckily :)

The car does have an air ride issue, but it's not consistant. I'm assuming I'll be replacing the front air struts and the compressor soon. I'm going to give it another week of driving the car, making notes of things and then call American Air Ride and see if we can diagnose the car and order the appropriate parts. It's nothing that's had an effect on driveability or ride yet. But, I do want to do this soon. No need in letting things get significantly worse.

I don't mind putting a few bucks into it mechanically here and there with as nice as the car is.

I'm going to be permanently stoked about the fact that I have a black Mark VIII. I'm also amazed at how my hour long commute doesn't seem nearly as long. Need to invest in a car cover for when it's parked here at work. That's when it'll be exposed to the sun the most. Nothing like getting new goodies for the new toy!

Have fun cleaning those wheels. It's a beautiful car though. Looks just like mine from the outside before I switched wheels (except your paint is better). At least you won't have to worry about keeping the inside so clean with the tan interior...mine's black.

Nice car! I agree directionals would look great on your car. It completely changed the look of my car.

Can I have your address so I can go steal your car :). That is the next Mark VIII I will get, Black with NO CHROME TRIM. Put some hids and directionals on that bad boy and it can easily pass for a 2000.
My girlfriend thinks my car is a 99.
