in my search for a good used diff, ive come across something maybe someone could explain. some of the trac loc carriers have whT APPEARS TO BE A RIBBED or gear like edge on the side you bolt the ring gear to. some do not. anybody know whAT I MEAN, And does it matter?

is it a part of the diff or bolt on? i assume since mark has abs i have one? oh you said solid axle ,the fact i dont see it on some carriers is its been removed and in looking for a donor should i look for one without? what happens to abs when swapping?if i buy one with it is it still compatable? the price used to be 200 from american muscle, ford racing etc, now you can barely find one let alone less than 350. i found several from 1-200 and modern rebuild carbon disc kits are better than original for 105 it seems the way to go.
does anybody know about auburn gear center sections if they are irs compatible?

arent irs gears beveled? or rather i should say the nrw gears are all beveled that i see, but when looking at compatible donors solid axle diffs and irs diffs wasnt there a difference THEN when they were installed? im seeing a few different kinds & i was going to buy new gears just for sanity sake but ive seen a few good gear wear donors, but im confused as to the bevel ive heard about and notice some have some dont. these are what im considering, but there are others but thiuswill give an idea what im seeing

You can either leave the cir-clip off the halfshaft(s) or chamfer the inboard side of the spline on each side gear.
