I'm just wondering if anyone knows what my 94 mark 8 do or act like if I change the rear end without tuning it I am going with 4:10 gears I mean is it going to shift really early or really late I know the speed o will be off till I tune it but what other things do I need to be worried about

you'll need to change the vss gear for the speedo.
a tune is not required, but the car will shift early.
a one piece driveshaft is not required, but the car might vibrate on the highway more than it used to. car might vibrate with a one piece driveshaft too.

If you want to do it correctly and avoid some of the problems Chris has pointed out you should tune it and change the speedo .The vibration you will feel with the two piece driveshaft will make the car unpleasant to drive . It may feel like it's falling apart Been there done that .

I would even add from experience, you only THINK the '93 one piece driveshaft has no vibration.

That is until you spring for the aftermarket one from Denny's or DynoTech.

More than likely you have a two piece drive shaft. In this picture the top one has a 1/2" gap, which makes it a 2-piece, the bottom one does not.

If you are going to be doing more modifications to this car, it's a good idea to invest in an aftermarket drive shaft.

I agree driller I still have some vibration with the 93 driveshaft but I can tolerate it until I finish with the other projects I have going on with her.

Check out "David Dalke". He's a tuning guru with the T-Bird and Cougar guys but takes Mark8s under his belt as well. You can search him on Facebook and send him a PM. Otherwise if social media is not your thing, Google search Supercoupes Unlimited Inc. and you should be able to find his number there and give him a call. He is in Madison, OH if I recall correctly but for a mild car does phenomenal work on basic tunes through the mail.
