Road Trip

Getting ready to take the '06 on its first "extended" road trip since aquisition; a 1200 mile roundtrip to East Tennessee.

Looking forward to it, as these cars were made to gobble miles and miles of highway. Just want to make sure I don't get TOO comfortable, so there will be semi-frequent stops.

Funny how the Town Car can spoil you. I made the trip last weekend to the GM Nationals in my Vette and felt every jarring bump of that God-awful Pennsylvania Turnpike. It's not a road, it's a concrete quilt. I was eager to pay my $9 toll just to get off of it.

Thanks. We've gone to the Corvette show for about 20 years now and will likely make the parade again in August. My Vette club doesn't have nearly as much presence as LOD at the Ford show and I will miss that. LOD does it right!

Yes, i have a much better time at the All Ford show with LOD then i do at the Corvette show. It will be a while before i go back to the corvette show since i sold my vette last year.

The Town Car road trip was a highlight of what has become a great summer. The miles just peeled away and I'm reminded of how these cars were made for the long haul. I didn't want it to end. Time to plan another!
