"Scrapple is typically made of hog offal, such as the head, heart, liver, and other scraps, which are boiled with any bones attached (often the entire head), to make a broth."

This sounds so "award winning", lmao

It is also called pork mush. This is funny to a few because we were at a dinner late night and I asked what it was. The waitress did not even want to describe it. It seemed to creep her out.

My favorite part is boiling the entire head to get a broth..... I love trying new foods, but I can't say I regret not trying scrapple - maybe on a braver day :)

Bill! Where the hell where you? We all thought you were coming to Carlisle!
Yeah I know. Things changed pretty quick around here. But next year I will be there for sure. This year some unexpected things occurred. Things that required my attention around my divorce and such. Oh and I kinda messed up my car a little bit but I can still drive it so that is cool. Mark my words next year.

No my best friend in the whole world is stepping up and footing my part of the bill for our PA trip. He says that that is exactly what I need after my divorce hearing tomorrow morning. So I leave early Friday morning and won't be back till sometime next Tuesday. PM me if you are going to be at any other events around and I might just be able to attend those.

Jim asked the waitress in the diner about that. She started saying "they take pig parts..." that was enough for us.

I don't even eat regular pork except well done bacon.

Scrapple has been a PA favorite for many, many years! It's getter tougher and tougher to find it in stores outside PA now!

For the record those first two pics are in Steve's kitchen... :p
