Shattered rear window

I recently purchased a 2001 Conti as a winter car - Finally going to front wheel drive after 4 Mark VIII's, a Mark V, a 79 Town Car and too many Cougars and T-Birds to count:wink: This morning I found my rear window full of spider-web cracks and when I touched it, it collapsed. There was no sign of vandalism and the car was in the garage. No extreme temperatures and no rapid change in temperature. Anyone have this happen? Any idea what caused it? I'd appreciate any info - Thanks :)

I think one in about a million shatter.... it is because of the stresses on the glass during the manufactoring process. You're one of the unlucky ones :(

I hate paying insurance, so if I have a problem I think how they can pay me back for all the payments I made them.

I would say it was vandalism. Most insurance companies have a $0 deductible policy fro vandalism, excluding terrorist attacks.

I have 0 deductable Comp and Glass. Lay a rock in the back seat. But then Insurance will want you to file a Police Report.
